Hello from the Author

Hello My Lovely Readers,

So since I last blogged I have been very busy. I have created Author pages and accounts for myself on instagram, twitter and facebook so that all of you can keep up to date with all of my writing.

I have also been writing up a storm and have even more publications than I had before. 'They Walk Among Us' is a novel of dark poetic fiction that I have now published on Kobo. On top of being spooky ghost stories, I created tarot cards that go with the theme of the book and they are every few pages in.
Next is 'The Darkest Fairytale', which is a young adult fantasy novel that I have published on Kobo. It is a story about truly getting lost in the books that we read.
I have also published an article about Edgar Allan Poe with Hektoen International called 'Edgar Allan Poe - a tormented literary genius'.
Finally I now have 3 short stories and 2 poems published with Polar Expressions Publishing. 'Two Parts Love', 'The Peace of the Sea', and 'Goodbye' are my short stories published with them while 'The Final Plea' and 'Labels' are my published poems.

I have just finished my second year participating in #NaNoWriMo and this is also the second year that I have come away a winner.
Well that is all for now, but I will try to keep all of you more up to date from now on.

Live life to its fullest,
Donna J.A. Olson

Out Now

Hello to my followers,

Two Parts Love

The Norse Gods and Goddess have their own stories that have never been told. Stories of their lives that have been hidden from the world. Stories of love and loss. Epic love stories and cruel battles. This is one of their stories. The story of Hel.

The Unhappily Ever Afters

We wish to live so beautiful and true,
Like that of a fairytale creature.
Without knowing what they go through,
To be such an idolized feature.

Most stories are not like these tales,
That we wish to change lives with.
They would too cry and wail,
If they were not but a myth.

Here are the tales,
Of those who aren't real,
With all the details,
And hardships that they never had to feel.

If they were in our world,
And lived lives just like ours.
Their epic stories unfurled,
And laid clear without the shining stars.

See what happens when they are just people,
Fighting to live in a harsh land.
Taking away their happy freedom,
And forcing them to live with their given hand.

Both are available for purchase from Kobo
